1. File handling
When you upload a PDF, it is used only to verify your password and produce an unlocked copy of your document. Files are transferred over an encrypted HTTPS connection and handled with randomized filenames during processing. We do not read, analyze the contents of, share or sell your documents. As soon as your unlocked file is ready, both the uploaded file and the generated output are automatically deleted — we do not keep permanent copies and we do not create backups of your files.
2. Cookies
We may use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences (such as light or dark theme) and to keep the Service running smoothly. Some third-party services we use — including analytics and advertising providers — may also set cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
3. Analytics
We may use privacy-conscious analytics tools to understand how the Service is used in aggregate — for example, how many people visit a page or which features are popular. This helps us improve the product. Analytics data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
4. Third-party services

Uploaded files and their unlocked outputs are deleted automatically right after processing and are never stored permanently. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics and standard server logs may be retained for a limited period to keep the Service secure and reliable.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
